ENR magazine confirms SENER's consolidation as a leading engineering company in the international market

The specialty magazine ENR (Engineering News-Record) has once again included SENER in its recently published international rankings for Top 225 and Top 150.

With regard to ENR's annual ranking of the Top 225 International Engineering Design Firms, in this 2018 edition, SENER has placed 48th, ahead of other big Spanish companies. Furthermore, in the list of the Top 150 Global Engineering Design Firms, SENER appears in 91st place. In addition, SENER appears on two of the Top 10 lists by region: the company placed fourth in the overall ranking for Africa and eighth for Latin America.

Rankings by sector for 2017

It is important to remember that, in ENR's annual publication, ‘Top Global Sourcebook 2017,’ published in December, which compiles the most outstanding rankings of the year and carries out a complete breakdown by area and line of business, SENER is ranked 25th (out of 50) in transport engineering design, and 18th in marine structures and port facilities, 22nd in bridges, and 15th in rail and mass transit. In this last sector, SENER was also ranked first among companies in Spain and seventh among European companies.

Furthermore, in the energy sector, ENR ranked SENER 3rd worldwide among engineering design companies and 40th as an international contractor. If we consider only the figures associated with solar activity, SENER was the undisputed leader, ranking first in engineering design and fifth as a contractor. In cogeneration, SENER ranked 3rd in engineering design and 20th in engineering design in fossil fuels, where SENER ranked 18th worldwide as a contractor. SENER was also ranked 48th in engineering design in oil and 25th in pipelines, as a contractor.

Lastly, when it comes to the manufacturing-industry-telecommunications sector, SENER was ranked as the 26th contractor worldwide and the 4th in the aerospace sector.
